The Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) has undertaken a study visit to the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) as part of her efforts to strengthen electoral process and management, deepen institutional and legal framework and enhance operational capacity ahead of next year Local Government elections in Gombe State.
The delegation, led by GOSIEC Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Garba Talasse. The delegation was warmly received by the Chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Hon. Justice Bola Okikiolu-Ighile (rtd.), and LASIEC Commissioners at the Commission headquarters in Yaba, Lagos.
The LASIEC Chairman emphasized that peer learning and exchange of best practices are vital for strengthening electoral systems and ensuring credible, transparent, and inclusive local government elections.
Speaking during the visit, GOSIEC Chairman noted that the visit was designed to gain first-hand insights into LASIEC’s operational frameworks, innovations, and technological tools that have enhanced the smooth, free, credible and transparent conduct of 12th July, 2025 Local Council elections in Lagos State.
